My name is Steve Kaplan, I’m recently retired and I’m in the process of compiling a book about breakfasts around the world. What I’m looking for, really, is great breakfasts that Americans, insulated as we are, might never have either come across or tasted. Something completely different than the usual American breakfast. So I’m gathering breakfasts from across the world. I’m hoping that these meals will be attached to a place, a great restaurant (not necessarily fancy or expensive) or, perhaps, something mama made that has stayed in the family. I’d like the name of the place that serves the breakfast and the recipe for it, as well.
Honestly, I have NO idea of what folks in Portugal eat for breakfast, but I’m sure they have a number of breakfasts that we’ve never eaten here. So if you could put this request up on your blog — for Portuguese breakfasts or unusual (to the average American) breakfasts anywhere in the world, where that meal can be eaten, and how to make it (the recipe) — I’d be very grateful. Maybe you have a suggestion too.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Many thanks for any help you can give me with this project,
Steve Kaplan
